 Cablevision Customers Lose WABC, Then Get it Back |

In a recent disturbing promotion, that I've seen, WABC is planning on ending their services with Cablevision. That means, WABC and its associated ABC Programming will not be available for customers who have Cablevision and iO Digital Cable, by March 7th. Customers will have to resort to Over The Air, or other services to watch Channel 7 namely DirecTV, Verizon FiOs, AT&T U-Verse, Dish Network or Time Warner Cable.

NBC's experiment in repurposed local news is about to expand.
Sources tell The Observer that following the Olympics, WNBC-4, NBC's flagship station in New York, will begin airing a Gotham-themed version of its experimental repurposed news show, Daily Connection. The show will air weekdays at noon.

KNBC suspends midday news |

SoCal Media Scoop is reporting that KNBC has suspended its 11am midday newscast and this will stay permanent, even after the Olympics. For the longest time it was anchored by Chris Schauble and Jennifer Bjorklund. More recently the newscast was cut a half-hour with Access Hollywood coming in at 11:30am.
There has been chatter that NBCU might bring "Daily Connection" which already airs at 3pm on WRC-TV or an hourlong "LXTV" show, like the one of WNBC, to KNBC.
